    New Minelab.

Anyone else out there in the US heard anything about Minelab coming out with a new detector? It seems the boys in the UK say they is a new one coming, but I haven't heard anyone here on the forum saying much except for the fellow in the UK if that is where he is from. Eddie

Thanks for the information Guvner from Minelab. Keeping your coil and coil cover clean is something we all should be aware of. A clean machine will work much better than a dirty one........:) Eddie

No seated coin.......:( Maybe next time...........)

Had a good time at our club hunt yesterday at the lake. The weather was beautiful and in the low 80's, but there was lots of shade around the lake and a nice cool breeze coming off the water. We didn't get completely skunked and the four of us in our club all found silver. I don't have the exact...

    James N.D.

Hey James........... I have a question for you. You said that you know of a spot that may still hold some older coins in the 11 to 12 inch range. Is the depth because these coins have just gradually sunk over the years or is it that there may have been fill dirt put over the top of the old dirt...

Not a very good day at all........:(

We had our club hunt yesterday at a park in Seattle and with the price of gas and the ferry fare the finds hardly put a dent in the expenses. That's it, I'm moving to North Dakota!!! I can't remember the tally on all the finds by the other club members, but my meager finds are posted below...

    Down south park finds.

My buddy Lee and I took off at 5:00 am this morning and headed south to this old park. Not much to show for our efforts, but we still had a good time just getting out. Lee got about 12 wheatie's, no silver and some clad. I got four wheat's the oldest a 1918, 1927, 1946 and a no date. Kind of odd...

    Cache in a toilet!!!!!.................:)

I hunted this place several times before and it's the same old house that the oak tree is at. Thought you might get a kick out of my first coin cache and it was in a toilet!!!................:) The nickle inside is a 1964. I almost threw it away not knowing for sure what it was and I turned it...

Here is that Civil War oak tree and the plaque.

Some of you Civil War buffs might have heard about this general that fought in the war. Sorry the picture of the plaque is kind of blurry, but I think you can still read it.........:) HH. Eddie

    All you Civil War buffs.

I work for the Navy in Washington state at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center at Keyport. I have hunted this one military housing place a couple of times and I discovered that there is an oak tree planted there with a plaque on this oak tree that was planted by a general who fought in the Civil...

    James N.D.

Thanks again James for the help. I sent you a PM, but forgot to mention one thing. There have been several times when I got a digital reading from 30 to 31 and didn't bother digging it. Now I wonder how many coins I may have passed up!! When I benched tested different coins and jewelery to see...

Forgot to give you my clad count..........:)

Heck..........I just counted my clad finds for this morning and it did pay for my gas............:) I found 1 Sacajawea dollar, 17 quarters, 29 dimes, 11 nickels, 57 memorial pennies and a 46 wheatie. No silver, but that gold ring made up for it. HH. Eddie

    Gold ring with 32 diamonds......................:)

What a shocker I found today!! I went out this morning for about five hours and hit some school play grounds and I'm sure glad I did. Got a nickle signal and what a nickle it was!! Gold ring with 32 small diamonds in it. Not my best gold and diamond ring that I have found, but it sure paid for...
