    First Beach trip.

Research, you will find TIDE TABLES for your hunting area. I suggest you choose a time at low tide when you can trace the debits in the surf where the goodies usually end up. My first beach hunt was not very productive because they clean and plow the beaches but usually leave the shallows...

Any word on those optional Simplex coils?

Yep! My 7"X5"DD is great for those close places but I think the Amfibio may get a present if I can find a 7" concentric at the right price.

    A few Anfibio finds.

I know, the waiting is killing me. I tossed the choice between Amfibio Multi and Multi Kruzer. I think both are exceptional machines but what appealed to me was the cool factor of the Amfibio. I know, not very scientific but, I just like the way the Amfibio looks. with it's collapsible shafts...

Just downloaded latest software for simplex. I like it.

So, I've been using a White's Prism III, while it's been a great detector, it's old, almost 20 years, and time for an update. I liked the functions and looks of the Simplex+ but marketing got the best of me so I just ordered the Amfibio Multi. I'm not sure if there is a big advantage to the...

    The Simplex got here.

CONGRATULATIONS! I think the Simplex+ is giving the industry a wake-up call. You can find an MD that doesn't cost a fortune. I wanted to try the Simplex+ but marketing got the better of me and I went for the Amfibio. Nothing against the Simplex, I just decided that I wanted something that...

Second time out finds nice coin's.

That's me. Here in Central Mississippi, the soil is very meneralized and most of the coins I find are unrecognizable. Especially anything that has been 6 or 8 inches deep. I am still looking forward to some good silver and gold finds. I also have never found an Indian head. I've always been...

Wireless ear buds for the simplex?

I tried using a bluetooth transmitter, paired with earbuds and the latency ate my lunch. While I did get signals, they were not in sink with the swing. I usually prefer open speaker most of the time when I have a quiet area to hunt.

Just ordered a 7" concentric for my Kruzer

I've been hunting with a White's Prism III. It has been a great machine, one I'm not afraid to leave in the car for prospecting sites conveniently, but I decided it was time for an upgrade. I have been using the Nokta PP for years, with success, so I decided to pull the trigger on an Amfibio...

Got my simplex yesterday and on my birthday!

Has anyone seen a backpack suitable to carry the Amfibio? I don't want a universal crap bag but I would like a bag capable of carrying my MD and a few coils. I have some places that require some climbing, just hills, and I wold like to find a safe way to carry.

7 Inch Concentric on Anfibio is producing on my heavily worked site.

Great breakdown. I just ordered an Amfibio with options for the 5" concentric or the 5X9 DD. I chose the 5X9 because most of the hunt in my area (central Mississippi) involves old houses and park bleachers. I'm hoping the slim coil will give me a clearer picture in those cluttered areas. I...
