    Cactus pictures

    The left picture represents the buds just forming which will be a flower a few weeks down the line... Eventually they will grow such as what you see in the second picture and then the BIG reward....flowers are HUGE the last two are from a cactus in a pot on my porch...the plant is 21 inches...

    something new growing out of something old

    The dead tree was cut many years ago and my wife tells me it was a fruitless mulberry tree..."old school" shade tree around here....and this oak tree decided to come up from the center of dead tree....i suppose a bird dropped the acorn in there.....thats my story and im sticking to it

    the big structure was on a farm located on th main road that goes to Yosemite National Park. The owner decided to decorate it and as you can imagine it attracts a lot of attention...a few years ago a big wind ripped off the corrugated metal on the roof...a few weeks(?) later volunteers put it...
