    Garrett GTA 500 in 1991. Followed by Fisher 1280x , then Tesoro Stingray…….The game changer for me was the Minelab Excalibur. Wow!…. Night & day technology & totally open the doors on finds for me.

    Apparently from what I’m gathering (info), Garrett did away with the treasure talk feature sometime in early 2000. Mine appears to be built after that time.

    Exactly!……yeah, I just picked it up & it is indeed like new condition. It was a promotional package that Garrett put out for this machine. Both coils show no signs of ever touching the ground…..Unreal!

    That’s what I was thinking too. Like I said, I wasn’t looking to get in a new machine but for that price it’s hard to say no…… I think the best deal I ever scored on FB market place was a new Minelab Xterra 705 (never used) for $145.00.
