The Omega Manual Seems To Have Missed This Little Trick.

Unless I'm over looking it, but if I change the Auto Tune pitch then switch to Disc mode that pitch is carried over to the PP target tone. Anybody else notice this? Mark

Need Some !HELP! With 5" DD Coil Fitment On An Omega???

I'm set to buy a 5" DD coil and I wanted to confirm that this one will indeed fit my Omega. Its looks to be made for an F5 but the claims are it is also compatible with the Greek series detector. Detecting Item Give away

I hope I'm not out of bounds my putting this in this section, but here goes. In the Detecting Classifieds (currently) on this forum a few people have gotten into listing up detecting items for free! I've seen this work very well on other none metal detecting forums. On those like here anybody...

No Serial But It Has "Proto #1" on it

To start off with the bottom line is "It Is What It Is" and so I'm good! But, what is your general thinking on a metal detector not having a serial number but rather a tag (decal) that reads "PROTO #1" on it. A good thing or a bad thing? Wouldn't matter if it was in good working order and you...

Got My ID-Edge yesterday that I traded for

And I have already found the oldest coin I have ever found "With It". So the detector has a real good start for me right out of the box. The coin is a "1868" nickle and its in pretty good condition to be 144 years old. And what's even better, is to find the coin I didn't even have to turn the...

Tesoro's Lifetime Warranty And Not The Original Owner

Seems this just keeps coming up, many folks say that Tesoro's Lifetime Warranty doesn't have anything to do with first owner or the tenth owner, its warrantied for "Life" (short of abuse) Well, I know my brother contacted Tesoro and ask about their warranty and not being an original owner. The...

How To Confirm That A Whites "5900 Di Pro-sl" Is In Fact A (CB)

I have a 5900 Di Pro-sl and I didn't get it new, but the manual that came with it states it to be a "CB" version. Is there a way to tell for sure its a CB version, Control Changes? Decal Changes? Serial # date code? Thanks Mark

Anybody Here Own Or Has Owned A 1280

If so what type of coil connector does the coil use? Is it a standard connector that plugs into a sealed compartment? Or does it have a special waterproof connector? Is the large coil option a 10" coil or is it a 10.5"? Mark

Best Set Up For Different Detectors

Here is the idea behind this post, first, Its not about brand! Its not about this vs that one! Its about taking a group of detectors that a person has like mine, Old Teknetics 8500 hip mount with a 10" spider coil. Whites XLT with 950, 800, & 600 coils. Fisher Coin$trike with 8" & 5.5" coils...

This Is So Cool! Look What I Found When I Got Home:smoke:

And its Brand New! just how cool is that? I now have two of these, my old one is going to go out on loan to my brother, he was using a CZ 7a-Pro that I had. I ended up trading the CZ to Dan_pa and so I needed to find another for a loaner replacement (how crazy is that?). So I put up a add here...

    5900/Di-Pro sl verses the XLT

Okay, its looks like I have an XLT coming and my idea is it to be an upgrade to my 5900. Now I bought the 5900 about a year and I did because its a known dependable analog detector and just a really good to fall back on machine and I believe its just that! But I started getting an itch for an...

Can't find the post about the "Hank" coil wrap, so I'll just start a new one

In an earlier topic it came up about the different ways to wrap the coil up the shaft and forum member Dave-J chimed in with the idea of straight up the shaft then just make a loop (a hank) with the extra length of coil and just not wrap it at all. Okay, I've never really liked the phone cord...

Looking for a solid bottom coil cover for a Fisher 10" spider coil

I'm getting a new to me 10" spider coil for my Fisher 1266X and I was wondering if anybody here knows of a solid bottom coil cover that will fit the coil? Nobody tell my big brother (WV62) that I traded my 5" x 10" elliptical for a 10" round spider coil, if I can't understand the reasoning...

Were are those nickles :sadwalk: And Why Are You So Evasive?

Ok, the information below I posted on another area of the forum and maybe it meant more to me than others, but the more I keep testing nickles and playing with them the more I'm amazed with their behavior. I was really shocked at how they acted buried at different depths with the Coinstrike and...

    Elusive, Evasive, Nickles New Findings

I posted the below in the Teknetics forum and I decided to pass it on to this area of the forum. I would like for some others to do some testing along the same lines as I've done. Get a cup of coffee, Some snacks, Maybe an Asprin! If this proves out by others my question would be, how come the...
