    Ok the start of my million questions...

    first depth wise...does anyone know the difference to expect from the following coils.. x-5, x-8, and minelab 8 inch coil, also would like to know what the ounce weight is of each one...just got outbid on a x-8 on ebay... Also it seems I will be able to get the minelab with the lower rod...

    First week out this year lots of clad

    Back to the clad mines, first three hunts of 08

    with a goal of $800 in clad and record temps for 3 days...I was able to get out all 3. Best hunt was today with over $8 in clad using the 5.3 coil. The small junk butterfly on the top right plate came in with a vdi of 10....The 3 day total was $18.51... Hopefully a year with less coins...but...

    air tests completed with new stock coil...

    Big month in clad...just one pic needed

    Well instead of my daily posts which after I hit 10,000 for year...decided were not needed....here is a pic for the whole month of November ....$106.36 in clad and a few silver dimes, wheaties and the rest of the junk. I am closing in on 12,000 coins for year but with the wind chill at 5 degrees...

    I am not satisfied with the depth I am getting with dfx at all....weak signals even at 5-6 inches....I am not done trying to find depth yet and may try one more coil....     Last 4 hunts, a Merc, an old token, and a few other things

    over $23 in clad on close to 350 coins, a token dated 1959, a 45 Merc recovered at 5.0 on a very weak broken signal.... a 38 and 47 nickel recovered from a baby tot lot and a few other things..

    3 days of hunting...gold silver wheaties and more

    best finds for the 3 days were a 14k earring, silver earring, 2 wheaties, a bicentennial quarter, a Canadian nickel and a religious pendant.... over 200 coins for the 3 days..skipped quite a few pennies but still a lot.

    Coin from contest...given to my son

    I gave my nine year old son Kyle the Morgan 1883-o silver dollar from Larry for hitting 10,000 coins this year.... Kyle really likes it...as you can see...:happy: He has been collecting coins since he was seven and is building up a very nice collection.
