I know we are welcome to post our prayer requests here but sometimes I feel like we are wearing out our welcome. It seems like very little positive news comes from my posts and I can't help but feel like we are burden to all of you fine folks on this forum. Oh, how I wish I was posting finds...

It's really coming down...snow falling as fast as our 401K!!

I dropped Brian off for school and then went and had coffee with my parents before going to work. Rain was supposed to fall all day and then turn to an occasional snow shower overnight. By 9:30am the light rain had turned to big, beautiful snow flakes the size of quarters and falling so thick...

Back from Vandy and a blizzard warning!!

First the good news. Brian can now eat soft foods...praise the Lord!!! He can't eat chips or toast or anything with a hard texture. His first food was a soft taco and man...that smile was worth a million words. I have pics but am a little under the weather so will post some later. The doctor did...

Going to Vandy tomorrow for follow up appointments.

Our first appointment is with the general surgeon to have Brian's feeding tube replaced with a button. The button is like a valve and opens when a plastic feeding tube is attached. This will eliminate the long tube that Brian has to keep taped to his chest to prevent it from being pulled out. He...

    Quick updates...

First, our problem with Sarah has been resolved...she caught him cheating. I didn't have to say "I told you so." I just hugged her and told her how much I loved her and how much the Lord loves her. Thanks for your prayers. Brian has good days and bad days. He is really depressed and doesn't...

    Prayer request!

My 19 year old daughter is planning on making the biggest mistake of her life. She wants to move in with her latest boyfriend who she has only gone out with a couple of weeks or so. She has known this man, he's 30 and divorced with a $700 a month child support payment, for about a year or so...

Carol and I celebrated our 26th anniversary last night!

We went out to dinner to Knoxville's best restaurant (not the most expensive) thanks to a gift from my parents. After the dinner, our waitress (who was excellent) very cheerfully wished us Happy Holidays. I smiled and thanked her and then asked her what holiday she was celebrating. She stopped...

    Happy Thanksgiving !!

From my family to my CMD family, our wish for you is a safe, happy Thanksgiving. Even though we will be in the hospital it is really for the best since Brian would be miserable not being able to eat. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers! God bless, The Stucky Family

Thanks for all of your prayers!

Todays procedure has been moved back until sometime this afternoon. An angiogram is scheduled to release dye in the blood vessels of his face and head to try and locate the bleeders. If they locate one they can release a substance to stop the leak. The greatest risk is the possibility of a...

    Great news...we're going home today.

The doctor came in this morning and said since Brian hasn't bled anymore that he felt there really wasn't anything else they could do for him here. It will be good to get home but Brian is still afraid to go for fear of bleeding again. We will have to deal with the pain with medication and hope...

    Thanks for the prayers!!!

They arrived at 7pm CST and had a smooth flight. Brian is resting now that he has had some pain meds. The plane was a twin engine turbo prop instead of a Lear jet as we were told. Fortunately, Carol got to ride along. This pic was taken by a EMT that accompanied them. Brian gives them the...

    Brian had a great night...

....with minimal pain. He was hooked up to a morphine pump and he could push the button every 15 minutes if needed and he only used it twice all night. He is off the pump and on oral pain meds now. We wheeled him down to x-ray earlier for his jaw and we are waiting for the radioligist to come...
