    there may be bad batches of coils coming out, i got a manticore that would only detect on the outside edges of the coil, i sent it in and i just got a new coil yesterday

    i first noticed it in my driveway on a surface coin. Detects on the sides but not the center. May want to investigate further. I have not heard from ML yet, but my dealer tried one that he has and it works good. So i sent mine in

    i was just testing in driveway on surface coins, then took machine inside, removed coil from shaft and tested with coins in hand. i can get signal on both edges of coil but not in center of coil. with pinpoint on its right dead center

    something ive discovered, my unit will not detect down the center of the coil. Both outside edges are on during regular sweeping, when i hit pinpoint then the center will pinpioint.     Did a factory reset on the machine, waved a quarter down the center, nothing. It will pick up on the right and left edges of the coil but not in the center. This will make life very interesting if there are multiple targets close together, pinpoint however is right dead center.
