    I also had a Bandito II, but like you, prefer the Vaquero.. I also preferred the Eldorado over the Bandito.

    I wish I had kept my Eldorado.. I had just gotten it back from a checkup at Tesoro and they replaced the stock coil. What the heck was I thinking?!🤣😂 Oh well, luckily I still have my Vaquero with three coils.

    The only thing I have read about the Tejon that was negative is that it does not handle bad ground as good as the Vaquero. That Eldorado you have is a great detector and I had one for a while.. It seemed to be uneffected by EMI, at least in my experience. I still have the Vaquero which replaced it.

    They later came out with one called the Toltec II.., That one had the meter mounted on top of the shaft. Being as I have only been metal detecting since 2006, I find it interesting looking at the older models that are no longer made.

    Never heard of that one, but it reminds me of the Minelab Relic Hawk.

    For me, it is the Vaquero which I I still have. Very light, easy to ground balance, and runs very quiet even in nail infested sites. Great quality build and design too!!

    I made one for my XTerra 50 some years ago. I made some patterns after taking measurements and using a sewing machine, I made one..still have it on.

    Ground is hard as a rock but, managed a few finds.

    Interesting finds.. the large cent is 1796-1807 I believe… I found one in a river earlier this year. Not sure what that other piece is, but it is intriguing. Sounds like you have a great site to detect.. keep us posted and good luck!

    I believe this coin was given to a child and lost some time recently due to lack of wear. There is a boys and girls club next to the grassy area where it was found. I sure wish it not had an encounter with the lawn mower..😩
