    throwing rings off of bridges, legend or truth?

    I've heard some fellow detectorists tell tall-tales about finding 100+ rings in the shallow water underneath a bridge on a well-traveled road. evidently, they say, women stop w/ their man on the way home from a bar or whatever, they get into a fight, and the ring goes into the river. anyone...
