    Gobble- Gobble (pics)

    Out with the camera again -gives me something to do since theres snow on the ground. Came across some turkeys today. This one even let out a gobble Before he took off Cought a grouse in flight too- these things are fast - REAL fast And a red tail looking for dinner. More to come....

    Pheasant shots with the D-80

    All taken with Nikon D-80 and 70-200mm f/2.8 AF-S VR Zoomed all the way to 200. Free hand with vibration reduction turned on. No post editing except to crop and resize. Taken in Shutter priority mode at 1/500 and camera picked the aperature of 7.1 (If I remember right). I really like this lens..

    After taking about 20 or so shots of this guy , he finally took to flight and landed in a floral rose bush right next to a hen bird. I never did see her until he landed next to her. Should have seen the pup trying to get out the truck window while I'm taking these pics - it was quite a scene...
