    Books on Metal Detecting

    As a newbe, I am trying to find some books that will be beneficial to read on the subject. Has anyone read either of these books, and if so, are they worth the cost? "Metal Detecting Manual" by Dan Hughes or Charles Garret's book on "Finding Coins"

    Need Help--Purchasing a DFX or MXT

    I have only used a very cheap detector in the past, so I have limited experience. Talked to local dealer at length and he recommended the DFX or MXT. Although the Christmas sale if over, he said he will still include the free padded carryall bag, Royal GT Headphones, and the Bullseye II...
