There's something about hunting the wetsand after the season....ya know? :detecting:

I decided to hit the beach at the end of my street today.....and it wasn't looking all that spectacular.....I had had to deal with the dreaded sea lice yesterday all over the Atlantic City beaches....they were still around on my beach just not as heavy.....I started to walk north and the only...

So I guess that the beach cleaning machines are the new excuse for why some of us don't find much on the beach huh? Gimme a break !!!!! :biteme:

What's next? I hear it all at my club meetings every month.....lets see....ok here's one..."the price of gold is too high and no one is buying it, hence they aren't wearing it and losing it" or how about this one....."there is too much competition out there everyone is finding all the good stuff...

Because of my work schedule (4pm to midnite) alot of my hunting is done during the day when most folks are on the beach. As a result I get alot of stupid questions and sometimes I just have to be a smarta$$ and zing em. I get people that just wanna bust my chops and ask me this......"Did you...

It was pretty rough in the Gulf today.....

So far my Florida vacation is starting out nicely.....I was a little upset that I couldn't hunt the deep water.....I had to stay in the shallow water because of the wind and current being so strong.....fortunately I found a nice inner trough that was stripped down to a crushed coral and shell...

    Target City !!

It has been awhile here at the Jersey shore since we have had a halfway decent storm come through and do some significant cutting.....I hit a part of the beach today that had lost roughly 3 feet of sand after the Noreaster. When I arrived there was a huge cut and the place looked like a...

Still digging a few from the weekend's noreaster.....:wiggle:

I was able to manage about 2 hours this afternoon....lotsa shells and pebbles but up top near the "storm's high tide line" the usual array of coins one sackagewea dollar and a nice (what looks like an)old silver slave style bracelet. Here are the pics..... Dug this early on.... [attachment...

Diane...."turned that frown upside down" on the beach today !! :bouncy:

Yes folks....she wasn't even going to come down and hunt today...But I guess I should know better. When does Diane ever stay home after a Noreaster? The beach seemed pretty flat and the storm was a fast mover, but it DID manage to move enough sand around to expose more targets than we have had...

What or who is the strangest thing/character you have ever come across on the beach while detecting ? :yikes:

I was hunting one night on the beach in the Southern part of Atlantic City some years ago and I literally ran into a group of folks (4 of them) in black hooded robes walking out of the surf chanting something I couldn't understand. To this day I haven't seen them again.....I don't hunt at night...

Nice day for the Ocean City Beach Shootout IV.... :chase:

Today was the 4th annual here in Ocean City NJ. I run the Hunt....we had a great turnout this year we had 13 two person teams....and the idea is to go out and hunt the beaches anywhere in the ocean city limits...on a time limit of course. there is a mid-hunt checkin and a final weigh-in time...
