    Recent Finds 14k - 18k - 925 and ICE

Well I managed to score a few nice tickets in the last week. The silver cross was found with the Excalibur in shallow water. The two 14k gold rings are both Frederick Goldman and were found with my Explorer SE in the dry sand. The 18k w/ice necklace was found with my Aquasearch SSV2 PI in the...

    14k Chain

The targets were far and few between today, but I managed to squeak out this nice 14k chain in the shallow water. If it was not for the pendant still attached, my Excalibur would not have found this one because of the fineness of the chain weave. Thanks for looking and happy hunting. John

The wildest set of keys I have ever found....

Hit the low tide the other night with the Excalibur. Now I have found many sets of keys over the years, but this set takes the cake! The 1953 half dollar is what puts this find over the edge. John

15" x 18" SEF Coil Finds 1/3 Karat Diamond Ring

I just received my new 15" x 18" SEF coil from Kellyco and was anxious to give it a try in the sand with my Explorer SE. The area that I have been working has produced some very nice finds in the past and gets detected by many people. It does not take long after summer is over to deplete the...

15" x 18" SEF Coil Finds 1/3 Karat Diamond Ring

Here is proof that you can still find a diamond ring at the beach, even though summer is over and the massive crowds are not present. I just received my new 15" x 18" SEF coil from Kellyco and was anxious to give it a try in the sand with my Explorer SE. The area that I have been working has...

Tiffany Necklace - 925 Bracelet - Four 925 Rings - Plus Six Assorted Rings

Here is my take for the last few hunts using both an Excalibur and Explorer SE. My clad count along with these items pictured was over $60. Only the photo of the six rings are not 925. Everything else is the real deal. Till next time, happy hunting, John

It's not a lot of gold, but it's gold. 14k pendant...

I found this 14k pendant as I was just ready to turn off my detector last night. My silver run is now officially over. This find was in the dry sand and I was using an Explorer SE. HH, John

I'm still in a silver rut, but that's okay. James Avery designer ring.

I took a short spin last night with my Explorer SE on the dry sand. Working the towel line I came across a small patch of seaweed. I waved the coil over it and heard a good signal. After kicking the seaweed away the signal was gone. Well what a surprise it was to find this James Avery 925 ring...

My last few hunts have all had a silver lining...

I have been waiting to post for a while because I wanted to show a gold find or two. But the gold just has not appeared and the silver was starting to stack up. So here are the silver finds for the last few hunts with the Excalibur. The horseshoe ring is the largest ring I have ever found.

Latest Finds - Yellow Gold, White Gold and Silver

There was a little gold and silver that found its way into my scoop the last few hunts using my Excalibur. The 14k white gold ring has CZ's. The 925 ring has fake stones as well, but I knew that it would before testing anyway. The 925 necklace is 24" long and was totally black and crusty when I...

First gold ring for '08. HEAVY 9.3 grams.

Well it took a couple of weeks to break the gold ice for '08, but it happened in a big way for me. I was looking in the scoop at the ring and hoping that it was not silver, then I saw the 14K mark inside. Now the pressure is off and I can get on with finding the next one. I was using an...

WOW, what a difference the Gray Ghost headphones make on the Excal.!!!!!

I just received my Excalibur back from Minelab after they fitted the Ikelite connectors on both the stock Koss and my new Gray Ghost headphones. All I can tell you is that the crispness and superb tone quality of the Gray Ghost over the Koss is remarkable. Thanks to Gulf Hunter for posting his...

    Titanium and Silver

I found these along with a little clad last night at low tide. The Excalibur was working mighty fine. I am in hopes that our next storm will take more sand off and get down to a gold layer. Till next time, happy hunting, John

    THREE GOLD - ONE SILVER

Well, my Excal (Classic Edition) performed top notch over the weekend. As I was lucky enough to find these four nice pieces for my hard work. When I found the 22k ring, my first thought was that it was just a plated junker. But it is the real deal and tested right on with the Mizar M24 gold...

    GOLD and ICE........

It has been a few weeks since I have found any gold, but that all changed on Saturday. My wife, ScoopDragger and I were hunting the bottom of the slope after the high tide with our Excals. We found a little clad and then I hit the 14 K ring with the five diamonds. About 15 minutes later, my wife...

Gold, silver and copper ring.... very unique !!!!

Hit the dry sand last night with my SE and got a faint and mixed sounding target. I was going to walk away, but decided to scoop it. I have never seen a ring like this before. Gold, silver and copper. Happy hunting, John

I am a couple of days late posting this find, but here it is. I had found a very nice white gold nacklace on Saturday (which I posted) and went out on Sunday for another low tide hunt. I could not believe my eyes when this 30 inch, 10 karat yellow bead chain came out of the dig hole. Two nice...

40 "REAL" DIAMONDS, plus some yellow and white gold to boot !!!

Went out last night for an early evening low tide hunt with my Excalibur. Dug a few clad coins and then heard a whisper signal that got me hoping for some gold. I was surprised when this 10 Karat white gold chain was hanging over the edge of my scoop as I brought it out of the dig hole. Then I...
