    Old Gold

    I found this 18k ring at a very old site from the 1800s. It looks to be a mans wedding ring that is almost a half inch wide and weighs in at 10 grams. I am going to leave the patina on instead of having it cleaned.

    Battery charger

    Yesterday I went to charge my battery for my E-trac and noticed the light did not come on. I unplugged it and saw the wire had broke close to where it comes out of the charger. There was not much room left for a repair but I got it fixed. Is the charger covered under warrenty? Has anyone else...

    Barbers & Merc

    Over the weekend I dug a 1911 Barber quarter- my second for the year and a 1941 merc. Yesterday my first and second finds were a 1916s Barber dime and a 1899 Barber dime both only two inches deep. I am up to 9 Barbers for the year now. Happy Hunting All!

    Big Silver Weekend :detecting:

    I found an Irish coin on St. Patricks Day!

    It was a sunny day today so I went out on a three hour hunt. I dug this foreign coin and didnt know what it was until I got home and looked it up. It is a 1988 Two Pence Irish coin. I also found a 1962d Rosie and some clad today. Happy Hunting All.

    Silver dime trifecta for 2011

    My first hunt in 2011 I found 3 siver dimes. A 1901 barber- 1935s merc- a 1959d rosey and only one wheatie before my battery died on me. But I was so cold by then I was ready to quit.

    What is it?

    I found this at a very old park. It is the size of a penny but reads a 12-46 on the E-trac. It looks all copper and the only letters I can barely make out are ENRINS. Any ideals what it might be?

    Headphone jack connection

    Is anyone having problems with there headphones cutting in and out while detecting. It mostly happens while knealing down to dig a target. They are plugged in all the way and it doesn't happen all the time.

    finds for 9/4 & 9/5

    Finds for this weekend include a 1916 Merc-1940 Merc-1957 Rosie a sterling money clip & 8 wheaties. I also found a copper coin the size of a penny. I cant read it yet and I have it soaking in olive oil. It registers a 12/47 out of the ground on the E-trac.

    Best silver day yet

    Today I found seven silvers including a 1950 Washington -1952 & 60d Rosies- 1916-1920d-37& 44 Mercs and a Kennedy half dollar. I also found this old cuff link & 8 Wheaties. Tommorrow I head to West Virginia to detect with someone I met on the form.

    3 Silver & first Buffalo today

    High Ferrous numbers

    I only had my E-trac for less then a month now and found 17 silvers already. My question is should I be digging ferrous numbers that show 23 and higher with conductive numbers that are in the forties. The ones I dug have always been iron.
