    found a bullet today

    I couldn't get a clear picture of the words on the end but it says F.C 44 rem mag. I know it is nothing but at least it is more interesting then the pop tops and change I have been finding.

    My detector got broke:rage:

    when we were at the playground after I was done in the football field I went over to the playground and I set it along side the steps going up to the slide and my daugter was standing on the bottom step and jumped off and landed on my detector, all is not totaly lost though, I can kind of get it...

    Today was a good coin day

    I took my girls to the grade school playground, the high school football field is in the same area, I found a way into the gate that is around the field and detected around the bleachers and in front of the consession stand, I found $2.37, I took a photo but it turned out to be to big to...

    Today was ok

    I went to the town park for a few hours and checked around the equipment and around the benches, I found 2 dimes, an nickel, 2 pennies, met a nice guy and got a headache from bumping my head on the equipment when I went to check under it.

    Just wondering so I know for sure

    I know I can legaly detect my own back yard, the strips between the sidewalk and the road, and the parks, where else can I legaly hunt without having to get permission?

    not a good detecting day

    for the last few days I have been going around the blocks detecting the strip between the sidewalk and the road, it takes about an hour to an hour and a half to go around the whole block, I have my detector set for coins, today all I found was 3 pennys after searching around 2 blocks.

    just wondering about this

    over by the river in town there is some woods that has a trail that runs through it, would that be a good place to look? I don't know how long it has been there or if anyone has walked through there lately.

    my oldest coins

    I have been sick the last few days and haven't felt like going out and detecting so I thought I would post my oldest pennies I have found, they are not as old as some of your coins but they are my oldest.

    I think I found a 1945 or 46 wheatie

    can anyone tell? it's pretty worn out, the 3rd photo shows how thin it is compared to a regular penny (it's the one on my 2nd finger) I know it is not worth anything but if it is a 1945 or 46 then it is the oldest coin I have found. These are the best photos I could get.

    I found these and a quarter and 2 pennies. Oh and the metal thing is hollow inside, and the token just says "no cash value" on the back.

    would like to know

    I live in town and I was wondering, that strip of land that is between the sidewalk and the road, is that public property? Can I detect there or do I have to ask the permission of the people that live in the house?

    since I mostly find old nails and scrap metal I was wondering if you can bring that stuff in and get money for it like you can with aluminum cans.

    today's find

    I found this necklace among a bunch of broken metal pieces, I was going to give up cause all I was finding was the metal pieces but I have been collecting all of the stuff I find weather it is good or not so if I decide to go over the yard again I am not digging up the same stuff.

    this is the only decent thing I found today besides nails, I believe it is the clamp part from a coin purse.
