    Yet another Correlate question.....

Rob, Thanks for the quick reply. Your explanation makes perfect sense and helps clear things up for me. So a response will be triggered only if the two strongest signals fall within the parameters I set, meaning the Span and Wrap. In my example, even though two frequencies were within the...

    Yet another Correlate question.....

I have a question about the V3i correlate mode. I'm trying to determine what sequence correlate uses to compare the three frequencies. For instance, does it first determine which frequency has the strongest signal "the best data frequency" and then compare that against the two other...

    V3i D2 10" Versus the 950 Concentric

Very interesting! The field created by the 950 appears to be shaped more like a dome than a cone. The D2 is a variation of a dome, but narrower at the center. The narrow field of a DD coil would certainly help in trashy areas and I would think the concentric 950 would do well in open areas...

It tends to identify targets better at depth after I've first located them while searching in Intensity mode. After pinpointing the target, as I mentioned in my prior post (see Survey thread), I quickly...

    Survey

Rob, I've had my V3i for about two months now and have been using it extensively (I'm recently retired and have easily put over 100 hours on it in the field). Which means I am still learning what the V3i is capable of, but perhaps some might find my experiences helpful. Nothing I have to say...
