    4" coil on a SS II ????

    Hi, folks! BigSquid's back. Been 'tecting w/ my new SS II, UM (8" coil), & it seems like the outer ring of the coil has "fingers" on it!!.     Boy Scouts Neckerchief Clasp ?

    Way back when..... did these things have a replaceable center medallion? I think I've found one. It's the same shape & size, but, center, where the wolf goes, is missing. There is 4 small rectangular holes in the center of it that looks like a replaceable badge can go in there. Any clues...

    Gettin' back "On The Roag Again" .... Restoring my BH Red Baron #5 (late '70's) unit! Has VLF & Total Disc. toggle switches. Still works great. Ground balance & tone knobs still there, too. Has solid coil. Has wiring problem, I think. Batteries won't register. Maybe need new battery carrige...

    trouble pinpointing target

    Hi! Got a new UltraMag Sharpshooter II & am having trouble pinpointing targets! Still find 'em, but, have to dig a bigger hole. Had a "Red Baron" unit w/ a solid coil for 30 yrs & had no trouble PP;ing w/ it. Something 'bout the separated rings on my new unit??? Any suggestions??? BigSquid55
