    Ground balance

    Is ground balancing an issue with the compadre or is it a non issue? Do I need a coil cover for normal use? Do I need a headset with a volume control? Would you consider the headset the most important addition to the metal detector?:shrug:

    I'm new at this and looking to buy an affordable unit but don't want tobuy a piece of junk. Are the Walmart models (202-505) any good or should I look at Radio Shack? I'm disabled and am looking for a good hobby where I can get the much needed exercise.
