    The V3 comes with training

Larry, I guess the problem I may run into, is this. What if my dealer is not educated in the V3? Then what if I tell him that I feel he should lower the price as a result of not being able to demonstrate it properly to me? Then what if he says he will NOT lower the price? I'm stuck then!!! I...

    Hunted 7 hours last evening,2 Barbers,6 Indians,3 Buffalos,15 Wheaties and a old silver bracelet.

Nice finds Ray. Nice to hear it is hitting on the deeper silver. Nice to see it hitting on coins with iron too! But that bracelet, I don't know? Kinda looks like the writing on that piece of metal from the Roswell UFO crash site:rofl::look:HH

    3 Frequencies, Why Not 28?

Did you include the many years of research and development for the V3??? How many trial and error units were produced??? How about paying the engineers for their hard work? I thought I read somewheres, that the V3 was begun as the DFX was rolling off the assembly line. That would be a long time...

    Sunday's Colonial hunt

Went out with a buddy and we both did well. He got more coppers than I did (3) and more buttons, but I got the nicer buckle and oldest copper. So it was a draw:twodetecting: Had a good time, except for those darn bugs!!! Hit 3 cellar holes and produced these keepers. HH

Flying Eagles on last Sunday's hunt

This was last Sunday's hunt at a colonial cellar hole. Had a heart test with the half dollar and quarter (same hole), but no heart attack followed!!! But I was hoping, since we were at a real old colonial site, that the half would be a Bust or Seated, but I'll take silver any way I can get it...

    Why Was The Vision Produced?

Hey, Glad your back posting!!! I'm saving my pennies too for one soon I hope. I should be hitting those tot lots instead of the cellar holes if I want to save enough for this puppy. Can't wait to be wireless. I love headphones now, but hate the wire. Glad you still have the program and I hope it...

    To White's engineers..........Rumors persist........

So you work for Minelab?? Are you a patent attorney??? Where do you get your absolute information?? Do you have any credentials to show us??? Get some one from Minelab here to speak about their patents and arrangements, otherwise it's just detector brand bashing. And by the way, I own both brands.

    Why Was The Vision Produced?

You must be an electronics genius. Two weeks with a machine that a "Friend" was using and you say it's an Edsel?? You make me laugh. It's comments like that which add nothing to forums. You haven't even tried one yourself and you dismiss it. Tell your buddy to sell it for a hundred...

    Comparison testing... my views

I would love to have a head to head comparison between the Vision and the E Trac and the F75. But in reality, that's just a dream. It could never be a fair contest, since we never learn our machines to their limit. Some people think they have their machines all figured out, but it usually means...

    Today's cellar hole hunt:clap:

Went out for a while with Dan, to some sites we hit off and on. We tried some new theories on where the goods hide. We must have walked 3 miles today and targets were far and few between. Didn't those farmhands lose any money??? :angry:Did manage two buttons and a nice rosette (missing the lead...

    Question on refitting dfx???

Can anyone at White's tell me if I can have the DFX refitted to accept the new wireless headphones? I want a Vision as soon as I can afford one, but in the mean time, I would love to have my DFX reworked to use the wireless headphones. Possible??

    Short cellar hole hunt

Just a quick hunt at a former great site. Not much left there these days. Used the E Trac there for the first time. It finds things my DFX misses, but hasn't found any old coins that I've missed. Mostly buttons. But the day was not uneventful:rolleyes: As any of my regular hunter partners know...

    Coil question in reverse??

I am wondering if the Vision coils that are manufactured to a greater tolerance?, can be used on my DFX. I'm interested in a 4x6 (when they come out) as my 4x6 can't be run above pre amp 3, although when I first had it, I could run the pre amp at 4. Was hoping the new coils could be used on the...

    Some target testing with Pics

I'm assuming that all the EMI in a convention hall have a lot to do with it. Also the fact that you can't ground balance it properly on concrete. That may be swaying things. I don't believe White's would ever except and distribute a machine that gave a 2% readout on a dime that close to the...

Masking, Depth and the Inevitable Comparisons

Didn't want to publicly embarrass you about who's better, but since you declined my generous trade offer, I guess her:rofl::clap:

Masking, Depth and the Inevitable Comparisons

I love my DFX and have kept up and surpassed some of the other hunters with other high end models. For me it worked. But I have also been beaten by them in other locations or "dry" times of the year. It's all in how well you know your machine. But if you want to trade your Vision for my DFX...

Masking, Depth and the Inevitable Comparisons

Even if you took the most seasoned people who are fluent with their particular models, and had a head to head comparison, it would not necessarily mean anything to the average detectorist. True, it may show one model getting a slight advantage over another, but the average guy would have to...

Got the DFX out for some fun

Went out on Sunday and had a good cellar hole hunt. Weather was great and my coin to button ratio was backwards:rofl:
