    Two copper/brass coins?

    Posted these earlier in the Minelab forum but should have put them here first. The two coin shaped objects have ridges around the edges like quarters and are about the size of silver dollars. One has what looks like a small stamp on it the size of a dime the other has what looks like a sunburst...

I have never dug any like this and almost thought it possibly could be old plug of some sort until i got them home and cleaned them.     My Question is I do a lot of relic hunting for small brass and lead bullets will a Gold Bug 2 with a 14" coil for the right price be worth me investing in or is it only good for nugget searching? Any help would be apreciated. JK

    It is bigger than a cantaloupe and made of thin brass? Added another picture today!

    Thought I had a cannon ball at first but it is to thin brass. It has what looks like a bore man style fuse. Could it be one of them torches they use to put on the side of the road a long time ago? but were they made of solid brass? Anyone seen one? Found on old plantation site with Civil war...

    Interesting find Saturday with Explorer 2

    Found this button while hunting a pounded area in Donalsonville La. this past Thursday. Goes to show the Explorer 2 is like a vacuum cleaner in well hunted areas! I was told it is a Dragoon button from the Civil War ;-)
