    Explorer XS has scratchy & low volume only on Silver?

    When I find a silver ring or clad coins like quarters or the dollar coins, my detector has an odd scratchy sound and seems as if the volume drops. All other coins and metals have normal tones and volumes. Any ideas what I can check to fix this condition? Thanks, Bill
