    Silver ring, quarter, and dimes!

Got out a couple of times this week since it's warming up and the snow's finally gone! Got the 1964-D quarter and the1935 merc on Monday. Then went out yesterday after work and found the 1952 dime and the silver ring. The ring is stamped "Hechoen Mexico" which, thanks to Google, I found...

    I found the Silver Solution!!!!!

The Silver Solution...plate & polish?! If anyone else knows anything about this let me know. [attachment 148930 NewYearsEve001.jpg] [attachment 148931 NewYearsEve002.jpg] I did manage some real silver, too - a 1942 Merc along with a decent 1910, a 1945, and a 1949 wheatie. Also found...

:clap:A couple more silvers for 2009

It's pretty cold here but the ground is still soft. Worked a curb and sidewalk for just over an hour and made it count with a 1926-D Merc, a 1943-D Washington. Also found 6 wheaties including a 1914 that, no matter how much I stare at through my loupe, won't grow a 'D' mint mark. The dime was...

    "1776" ring needs ID, please!!!

I found this well-worn man's ring with "1776" engraved on the face a while back near a known revolutionary war campsite. Site where found is now a yard from a house dating from the 1890's. There appears to be some other writing on the face but I cannot make it out. There is no stamp or...

    1776 silver ring!!!!

I found this well-worn man's ring with "1776" engraved on the face a while back near a known revolutionary war campsite. There appears to be some other writing on the face but I cannot make it out. Both sides appear to have crossed flags engraved. It rang up on the MXT at 82-83 and a jeweler...

    BIG silver!!!:surprised:

Went out Sunday afternoon for about 3 hours and after 2 had a bunch of wheaties but no silver...well you know what they say...so persistence pays off and I found... ...my first silver dollar (1921-S) AND a Merc (1925) in the same hole!!! Also found a pretty corroded 1888 Indian, a sterling...

    Sterling silver shields w/designs

Found these last week - location active since the 1940's. Size is 1 inch x 5/8 inch. They are stamped sterling with small holes at the 10 and 2 O'Clock positions. They have different Mediterranean cities, Livorno (Italy) and Rhodes (Greece). Any ideas?

    More silver and indians:cam:

Hi all, Finds from yesterday and this morning - a fun couple of hunts! Went out after work Friday for an hour and almost immediately found another silver shield thing at 6"...this one with "Rhodes" on it and "Hafen Einfahrt" which I think roughly translates from German as "Harbor Entrance"...

Triple silver in quick 1 hour hunt

First time posting and figured it's about time. I thoroughly enjoy reading all the posts here and have learned alot. I finally ordered a DX-1 from Larry on Wednesday since my Bullseye was on the blink and I had heard many good things from folks here about the DX. So, after talking with...
