    excal in the goldfields

    If the excal is so good at finding gold on the beach then why is it not recommended as a nugget detecting machine?

    Whoops....I thought it was gold

    I set up my electrolysis unit yesterday and was very encouraged when I saw the results of the first two ( silver ) rings. So I thought I'd clean up that nice little gold ring as well........ the water turned very black and so did the ring. I guess it wasn't gold after all!

    Hello everyone, I got my new excal 2 weeks ago and had my first chance to get out and give it a good go this week. By pure chance, I picked a beach that had been hammered by big waves over the weekend and had left a big cutout at high water mark . I concentrated on the area close to the cutout...
