Minelab Sovereign OK for the wet sand?

I was thinkig of asking a friend to let me borrow his Minelab for a detecting trip to the Baltic Sea in northern Germany. I think it's a Sovereign. I want to use it for the wet sand, since it does not react to salt the way my White's VLF does. What do you think? Will the infamous BBS technology...

    Sea shells as idicator?

Can you tell if an area of an ocean beach is good to hunt due to the shells that are visible? Something like larger shells vs. small ones? I'm a lake hunter most of the year, so I need you ocean going experts for this one. Thanx

What to do when a beach is sanded in?

I will be going to Italy to hunt the beaches there. It seems they are sanded in during this time of year. What should or what can I do? What should I be looking for? Are there any chances of finding any older signals or only fresh drops? Thanx

    Hollidays in Italy

Hello Italians! I just booked my hollidays for 2 weeks in June in Lignano Sabbiadoro. Any hints on the sand moving situation in the Adriatic? I will be water hunting, since the beaches are all privately run. Can you hunt the dry san, too in these areas or is it forbidden? I'd like to meet up...

    Sunspot Scoops good on gravel?

Speaking of scoops - I am about to order a Sunspot Stealth scoop to be sent to me in Germany. Is it OK in the sand, even though it doesn't have a "lid" on the top? How is it in the gravel? That's the main thing we have here. There are some incredible places to hunt with tons of signals in the...

    Any ideas on treasure hollidays?

A few of my friends and myself have been to Balaton in Hungary for a week of treasure hunting. It was inexpensive, and the finds were OK, but we each found approx. 50 coins a day that had no value whatsoever. Talk about frustrating. That's why we were thinking of going somewhere in Euro-country...
