    Beach has slowed a bit, so hit the park...

    Spent about three hours at a local park. Wandered around the soccer fields. In addition to the clad/junk, got a very nice silver bracelet. Nice way to close out the month.

    Hunted Newport Monday and Tuesday morning. In addition to the usual clad and junk, managed to get a 43 Merc and 57 wheatie. Unusual to find any older coins at our beaches.     Newport Beach Finds

    Beautiful Monday in SoCal after the weekend drizzle. I hit the beach this morning about 1 hour after high tide. Found a spot north of the pier that started producing targets. I spent the next 4 hours working the wet sand 50' or so from the high tide line. All the targets were found in this area...

    Unusual Gold Find

    Went hunting yesterday in the usual places that seem to produce. In addition to the child's dolphin ring, I found these two 'gold nuggets' about three feet apart. I had to sift through the sand with my fingers to finally pinpoint them. The nuggets look like parts from dental work...the remains...

    Something Shiny Today

    Hit the local beach this AM and dug this little gold wedding band in the wet sand. It has a name in it, but have been unable to locate a phone # so far.

    Platinum Ring

    I have been a reader for quite a while, but I just had to share this find. The platinum ring weighed 22.70 grams. Found in the wet sand at a local socal beach. My initial shock became a big grin.
