If only it was a D! (with a reasonable size picture....duh)

Hi all, Here are my finds from today's lake dive. It was a great day to be out there in the sun, even if the nut wasn't that great. I missed my 1st Barber dime by a hair ! Anyway, the 1916S is the oldest merc I've ever found and too bad it wasn't a D! The D would have been worth $700+...

    Todays lake finds - 10K

Went out to a new lake this morning and burned 2 tanks. Not a lot of finds but any gold is good gold I say! Also found 2 silver rosies, a silver St. Christopher, and one or two pull tabs! HH SeattleALE

Can you help me Identify this thing (coin?)

Hi, I pulled this out of an old foundation while visiting Connecticut recently. Anyone have a clue what it could be? It's about the size of a penny, looks like an iron core with a gold colored coat. Once I cleaned it parts started to turn teal green immediately upon drying so there must be...

    Todays clad, tomorrows treasure?

Just thought I'd throw this one out there for the fun of it. I was thinking about how crappy all of those Zinc pennies and clad coins look coming out of the ground as compared to a nice pre-65 silver. Undoubtedly, pre-65 coins will always have a collectable value but in 100 years, don't you...

From trash to treasure, my first timble....

Just got a tumbler from my father-in-law and ran all of my nickel, dime, and quarter clad coins. They polished up nicely! Used BB's and a dash of SoftScrub for 24 hours. They were just junk before but now I want to keep a jar of them to see how much I can gather over time. The pennies will go in...

Snuck out before work for a few silers....

Hit the old lake this morning before work. Really nice weather, beautiful sun shining through the water. A real nice way to start the day. Silvers to boot! I was amazed to find a steel wheat at 10 ft! After 60+ years it hadn't rusted way.... completely! HH
