    Coil tuning??

    I was reading another post in another forum and the explorer user was writing about this new coil he just obtained and how it was working out for him,but he figured that he still had some "tuning" to do on it. Now I am assuming that means adjusting the settings on the machine, but for the life...

I just brought a platypus coil for my Explorer 2 and when installing it on the lower shaft I find that just using the stock washers on the shaft end are not enough to "anchor" the coil in place.     and why? What's your success ratio over other coils and under what conditions? I'm thinking about purchasing one and before I buy another coil (own 3 already) some real-world tested experiences would be helpful. TIA

    What is the "secret" to setting up the MXT to reduce the crosstalk interference from other nearby MDers? I was at a club sponsored beach hut today and was having a hard time hearing anything other that the "buzz" of interference from other MXT's and Garrets and Minelabs that were within 20 feet...
