You mean they Actually found something after upteen seasons ???This thread is like that Oak Island show. Will it ever be figured out?? At least the treasure WAS found here.
It was in a fire. After Hurricane Sandy, a fire broke out on the boardwalk. Lots of coins were melted and puffed up like yours.I found this quarter this week not knowing it was a quarter I thought it was a button until I felt the edges it was reeded.
It’s like it was filled with air and expanded on both sides it’s puffed out?
Anyone ever see a quarter like this?
It’s a newer quarter newer design any way.
It was interesting in the beginning.I was referring to the puffy quarter. I never watch that sh!t show
Sounds interesting.Never heard of such a coin. I do have a dime I found that is almost twice the size and heavier then the original. And the copper ring is thicker????.. hhrickinmi
Yes Im in Ct I found this I believe on the beach if I remember corectlyWhere is the general geographic location in which it was found? Do you have freeze-thaw cycles where you are at? Shot in the dark but could have water infiltrated between the sandwiched layers of the quarter and then froze?
Salt water beach? If so possibly the saline water infiltrated between the sandwiched layers and crystallized causing the swelling.Yes Im in Ct I found this I believe on the beach if I remember corectly
