Finds are from a few weekends of hunting since my last post. All finds were pulled from public city parks and old schools.
Everything was pulled with my XP Deus 2 metal detector. Finds came from North Dakota and some from Minnesota.
Both of the quarters were pulled in North Dakota.
The 1881 Canadian Quarter was pulled on Saturday from an area with a newer school, but I knew from a little research that
an older school originally stood close by. I was initially digging all newer coins there, but then I hit a nice high tone signal that was deeper, so I thought it had a chance at being old and I wasn't disappointed.
The tiny 1936 Netherlands Dime I pulled was a coin I have never saw before. It read like a deep wheat penny because it was so small. I thought initially it was a Canadian Half-dime (fish scale) so I was surprised it was something I had never saw before.
I was also happy to get the completely intact toy battleship. I knew it was old as I pulled a 1925 penny close to it. It looks to be a 1942 crackerjack toy battleship from my research. Some of the original paint still remains.
That toy whistle with the strange face on it is an odd find. That was pulled at the same nearby park as the Standing Liberty Quarter.
