Civil war relics with my G2

I got out the other day relic hunting. I wanted to run my G2 in hot ground & see what it could do. I knew relics were there from hunting it with a pulse machine. We'll it did pretty darn well like it always does.

Probably a lot less weight but of course not the depth. Better audio than my experience with minelab. Very desicive

Nice finds open field may I ask? How many bars on the g2. Average of course?

Thanks. To the top or just shy of the FE graph. Everywhere I hunt civil war relics is highly mineralized ground. I think that's why the stuff is still there. The G2 is a fast machine so I can run around til I find a patch & go back with a pulse machine. I can then wade into it & clean up. I use for any kind of field. It's a great light machine. I do use aftermarket coils though. 13: ultimate & 15" attack coils. They give more depth & coverage.

Mine is half to 3/4 . Still doesn't fail to iron good machine . Using as a scout makes sense light and loves lead a 58 or 59 you got one.

That's what I use it for now.

Do the numbers change when using an after market coil 57 to 59 for

Do the numbers change when using an after market coil 57 to 59 for lead
If a target flashes numbers in the mid 70's it's usually a civil war bullet. I haven't used the 11" coil in years. It quit working when I dunked it in water. I use the 13" ultimate & 15" attack coils. The 15" coil is deep.

I never experienced that. I will hunt another patch that might yield some. 57 to 59 for me. How many bars due you display I am mid level. Could be due to the amount of iron oxides in the soil. I hunt the woods so no open fields . The amount of leaves that has fallen over the years makes a difference. Never got to hunt a wide open field and I am sure due to the red soil. I guess it might change the refraction of the signal that is returned. Pretty much black dirt till a clay layer that is Grey and stinks . All decomposing layers of foliage over the last 160 years. Of course that is with the gold bug same as the g2. Same detector .
