It was Nickel day at my park today, I was running the MXT all pro equipped with the D2 coil , I was running it in relic mode with 1 tone and the disc set just below Nickel, didn't dig hardly any trash and these Nickels sang out nicely when I got the coil over them. Average depth was 6 to 7 inches in pretty hot soil, I know the soil was hot because it kept setting my pin pointer off and I had to constantly detune it , pain in the butt.

what number on the vdi scale do they hit ?? I remember my old blue box eagle and eagle II rang up every time for a nickle at 20 or 21... 19..NO 22 No... I bet it was right 95% of the time..

Yeah they hit around 20, it varies sometimes if you get a V nickel it may hit at 18 and war nickels maybe a little higher than 20. Nickels mostly hover around 20. MXT is an awesome coin finder.
