Gone Back To A NEW Nox 800.

I would buy the 900 better coil design those 800's all break but it was my best finding deterctor and the 900 but I have the manticore with the 9" coil
which is never coming off its lighter than my D2 now! I loved my 800 but the coil breaking issues made me dump it and leaking units I dont have to worry on the Manticore
coil.

Fortunately for me, I have not had the problems you mentioned with my 800.
I have been told that mine may be on the line as far as whether the leak issue has been resolved ( I bought it in Oct. 2019).
Due to this, I have not used mine in water which was not my primary reason for buying it.
Since I have made lots of great finds with it and could not justify buying the 900 or Manticore, I was looking for another detector to replace my Sand Shark and decided on the XTerra Pro.
I got it on sale last December and have mostly used it since on land and in water and have made many finds with it.
I like that I can use my coils from my 800 on it, I can use my wired headphones that I use on my 800 on it, and the operation and settings menu is similar to the 800.
It is also a relatively cheap backup for my 800 and performs well in my opinion.
I have absolutely no regrets about buying it and it has already paid for itself.

The Manticore is definitely better in heavy iron than my 800. Target separation is more pronounced, and the 2D screen is a real help in multiple target environments. If you are searching in a low trash area, then the 800 is fine.

Manticore is also waterproof down to 15 feet
