Bounty Hunter Tracker Pro / Great starter or second detector

I tested the low cost Bounty Hunter Tracker Pro and was surprised how well the metal filter (Discrimination) works. The depth with about 10 inches on a 1 Euro coil is impressive for the coil size (7 inch coil).

Filtering out steel bottle caps or nail works so well, that many more expensive detectors can not disc out these targets, but the Tracker Pro can.

Impressive unit for the money.

 
Thanks Andy, I’m glad they work well for you. I was curious how the entry level Nokta performs. I’ve always believed the ground in Europe is made of magic dirt, this proves it! 😄 Even in mild ground we never get the depths as claimed there. I like to joke that maybe Europeans have trouble with inches. 😁 That said I gave my grandkids two of these detectors and both struggled to find a quarter at more than 4” in mild ground. No chance at finding a smaller coin at that depth. The ID wasn’t steady here either. A simple discrimination knob is more consistent. I regretted not buying them used, simple beep and digs from the big 4 US companies or new tracker 4s but I got one of these for free and wanted them to have the same models.
Don’t tell me otherwise, I know it’s magic dirt..

10 inches (25 cm) is max. air test performance. Even that is very good for the coil size.

This Bounty Hunter is the Tracker PRO, which is a better and derper detector than the Tracker lV.

We have different soil conditions in europe too. All variations you have in the US too.

But even in high mineralised soil 6 inches (15 cm) on a quarter is not a problem with the Tracker Pro. In mild soil 8 inches (20 cm).

Enough here for the play and campgrounds to hunt for Euro-Coins and Deutsche-Mark.

Most Euro-Coins are not deeper than 2 to 4 inches anyway.
With new prices in Europe for under 150 Euros the BH Tracker Pro is still a great detector and can pay for itself in notime.
