I've been REAL sick lately, BAD sinus infection throwin' its weight around. Seen my Dr. yesterday, he uttered the dreaded 'C' word, possible COVID. So, they did that nasal swab test (I HATE them things:sick2:), it came back Influenza, RSV and Covid NEGATIVE!, It's some kind of bacterial infection. got me some Amoxicillin, doing a bit better. These sinus infections can surely kick yer behind. Since I had covid in November of 2020, it seems I get them more frequently and severely. My wife Marcia seen her cardiologist this week, he said 'Come back in 6 months', music to our ears! Me and my 'Ms.Thelma lou', my guitar; have been asked to provide the music program at a local Church Thursday, October 10, for after their monthly "Forever Young' luncheon, for everyone over 50. It is Gospel/Praise/Worship sing along music oriented, with a little bit of Country/Easy Listening thrown in, TONS OF FUN!. Pastor Jeff allows me some music leeway, as long as it's appropriate, and I can play for as long as I want. PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL, AMEN! 336777035_882241449735134_4260637391006214322_n.jpg

Praying you are 100 % soon.

Hopefully you get well soon.
Ever try those copper magnet bracelets ?
Nauti turned me on to them.
I had Bad sinus infections every year.
Always went into my lungs giving me another bout of pneumonia.
Since I started using them 3 years ago.
I've only had minor infections.
Something about copper infections don't take hold.
Get well.

Update: I'm felling lots better, but: I've got me an issue with my sinus under me left eye, beside me nose.. For the last 6 months, I've been dealing with lots of pain/pressure in that area, it's almost like an abscessed tooth, BUT I have no teeth in that side of my mouth. My nasal passage on the left side is severely constricted.......SO, I called my Dr. this morning to tell him I want to address this issue next Wednesday at my app't for my regular check up. Ultimately, I'm thinking it's likely a specialist is going to tell me 'YOU NEED NASAL SURGERY', It's already been suggested 30+ years ago. YIKES. I chickened out.....Most likely, I'll ONCE AGAIN hear 'Surgery, or live with it', which I've heard before.........I may look into that copper bracelet idea.

Ask for some Ciprofloxacin.
Worked great for me in the past.
Get a twenty day supply with a refill.
Usually 10 days is plenty.
Though I like having them on hand.
Keep antibiotics in a double zip lock bags in the fridge. Moisture and heat kills em.
Usually Drs give a hard time getting it.
Very effective. Drs don't want bacteria's becoming immune to it by not using fully until infection is gone. Best of luck. Get well.

Tried it, thanks; no dice. I'm now on amoxicillin. Same scenario. It laughs at any type of nasal sprays. I'm considering dynamite, to 'blow out the blockage'. I MAY try some of them 'sinus rinse' potions again, but; Last time I tried them, it felt like I was rinsing with battery acid, it hurt THAT BAD.

Interesting.
Cephalexin has helped me as well sometimes. I haven't heard of a nasal infection not responding to cipro.
Something I've done in the past that worked.
I've crushed antibiotics. Soaked in an ounch of distilled water. Filtered thru a coffee filter.
And put in a nasal spray bottle. Yup it burns.

Try a Nettie pot. With baking soda.

A little levity.

Then follow with vinegar. Should blow it out. 😇

If you use those do buy distilled water.
Well water is bad for infections.
City water not much better.

Echinacea erb could potentially help.
Strengthens your immune system.
Vitamin C,D2 a B complex could be beneficial.
Wish you the best.

Do remember I ain't no Dr.
I'm just talking from experience.
I know the pain and desperation from chronic infections.

Though Seriously. On baking soda.
It did seem to help. I've also taken Vic's rub.
Put it on a Qtip. And shoved it as far up my nose as I could and smeared everywhere I could reach.
And it doesn't burn. At least mine didn't.
That was during covid. Got a major infection then.
And that was before the copper bracelet's.
Remember. One on each arm.
Yup it turns green.
Means your getting a good transfer of copper ions.
Just wash it off if it bothers you.

From the net.

Short-term exposure assays showed significant killing of bacterial suspensions when baking soda was combined with the detergent sodium dodecylsulfate.

Promotes antibiotics
Baking soda can help some antibiotics work better against bacteria by changing the pH gradient across bacterial membranes.

Reduces bacteria in the mouth
Baking soda can help reduce the amount of bacteria in your mouth that can cause decay or gum disease. Brushing with baking soda can help remove food that encourages bacteria growth.

Again. Get well.
