Lead bullets on field in Norway

Hauptmann aD

Hi, this week I was detecting a field in Norway. Almost no finds, besides an area which gave lots of projectiles. Distributed earth from a late 19th century shooting range wall?

Lap, you could be right. Any idea about the five banders? Hauptmann, ever go to Tromso? Used to fly (US Navy) into their airport a lot back in the late '60's. A beautiful town full of lovely people. We met a man and, through a young girl interpreter, asked us to follow him to his home. We got to his humble home and the first thing he showed us on his fireplace mantle was a small American flag and the Norwegian flag. He had fought the Nazi's as part of the Norwegian underground. Through the girl, he told us if it had not been for America they would probably be speaking German. I got teary eyed and had to walk out to his porch. The next day we took him at least 5 gallons of liquor, wine, etc. we had picked up in Keflavik, Iceland. He was so appreciative. He said he would share it with his friends. A few more tears. We were in the presence of a real WW2 hero! He had the medals given to him after the war between both flags.

Cool finds buddy. I like mining lead also lol. Some of those are old. Delvigne bullets. They predate the minie ball of the American civil war.
