I think the XB stem has an extra connection to break down the stem more to fit in a case? Perhaps Google images will show this

Battery charger from memory?
i am sure I used to have a charger that came with the detector and it plugged in there.

I used a massive battery attached to my waist belt to keep at full voltage for long periods and pretty sure I plugged it in there to power the detector .

Well, the 1266XB detectors have a extra jack that is to be used with only with Optional recharge kit .Nicad batteries maybe recharge from wall kit outlet. serial # 13286 from Los Banjos,Califoria. :) . Thats only OPTIONAL, all I use are Alkaline batteries and last 40 hours.:clapping:.

I typically run it in all-metal mode with sensitivity at about 55-60% and disc mode off. I find this picks up the best balance of good targets without too much chatter.

I used a 1266X with the spider coil for many years. In Al Metal mode it will match the newer detectors of today. It is a great coin finder and while running in the All Metal mode it is an excellent relic machine.
