I had those two detectors too. Too bad I let the Freedom 3 go but I didn’t understand what Charlie Garett meat by, ‘you have to dig some junk to get the good stuff’. Or something close to that line

. I miss that bell tone audio. Hit a coin spill with a barber dime, barber quarter and Indian head cent in a worked out park. That bell tone rang out like a church bell. I miss Charles and all his great info. Have most all his books on metal detecting from when I was knee high to a grasshopper. Most don’t realize the true original pioneers in the industry. Everything we have now came on their backs.
