Finding u.s. nickles

I used to use a xp deus 1 and nickles were always on one number. Now While I am out with the XP Deus 2 I find that a nickle will come in higher and other times a little lower, sometimes not at all.
I had a friend of mine with the xp deus 1 and he went over a area and called me over to see what my machine would read. I went over the area he pointed out and got no reading at all, while he got a reading of a nickle.

For me the D2 WS6 is a killer on nickels. Usually 62-63. I dig lots of nickels! 64-65 tends to be pull tabs . I try to dig all 60-63 numbers.
I was playing around tonight with programs and find nickels are clear down to 58 in Deep HC and pull tabs were coming in from 59 to 65. Also in the silver slayer program. If I switched to Park or Fast, nickels come in at 60-62 and if on the surface 63. Deeper nickels vary depends on angle and depth. Seems to be related to iron in the soil or how rusty they are in my soil. Zinc cents only changed one number but mostly read 86 here in DeepHC and silver slayer otherwise read 85 in Fast and Park. The biggest difference I see is in the audio type. Has anyone else noticed this?
