I haven’t detected much this year. My daughter is now in the AirForce tech school. And my 8 year old ears and breathes hunting and fishing. And I have worked more over time this year than I have in many years. I hope to get back detecting soon. I always get the fever in the fall. As I mainly civil war relic hunt.

This forum isn’t like it used to be that is why I do not get on here as much. No one comments on much. The likes are ok but most of the time I never see them. Some of the older members have passed on. We used to all share our families and our finds on here. And I have not got to detect much the last couple of years. Hopefully after my surgery in October I will
Be able to detect about a month or two later. I am getting the fever. My favorite find which is my avatar picture was found civil war relic hunting.
How is Steve is Louisiana doing or SeniorSeeker? I haven’t heard from them in a while.

Maybe get your 8yo a detector

He has a nokta. He doesn’t like it like I do. But he does go with me when he’s go.

Most forums are slower these days. Its all make yourself a legend on youtube for likes and follows and influencers (kaching) and facebook stuff. Good luck when you get out 👍

I agree with you brother. This forum used to be the most active on findmall. When we were the most active, I hosted 7 different forum hunts where folks from here came from all over the country even Canada to attend. Many years I did a Christmas gift exchange. When fb came out it changed things. Forums started adopting the (like) button so folks could just click it and not comment. I don't post my finds much here anymore because they hardly get a response. We mostly see prayer requests here, which has always been a vital part of the forum, and I'm glad it still is. I still get out often and continue to find cool stuff. God bless you all.

I remember the gift exchanges there were fun. I am glad you still text me your finds. I am not a fan of the like button. I miss the old days of about everything. I can remember when I first joined findmall. There were so many the posted and interacted. Some have gotten older and some just aren’t on here anymore.
What happened to Senior Seeker.

Thanks. Getting ready to have hernia surgery so don’t know when I will be back at it. But fall and winter is my favorite time to detect.

Glad you're still kickin' around, forums have certainly changed and adapting. Trolls have not helped the situation. Hopefully your health and the weather get to be more favorable.

I checked on Steve and Sr Seeker (Martin). I stay in contact with Steve. He and his wife are doing good, was glad the hurricane missed them. Martin is doing well, normal bumps in the road for his age (his words).

Good mercy, I just got my second hernia on the same hernia that was operated on 8 months ago  I was told do not pick anything over 10 lbs. Hmmm, try that when you live on a 1/2 acre:shrug:
