I was hoping so but I believe it’s a 26.Nice find!!
With the date ending with a “6”, I am
wondering if it could be a 1916 which is rare… only 52,000 minted that year!
I think so too now .. the 1916 did not have the three stars below the eagle on the back… still a great find though!!I was hoping so but I believe it’s a 26.
I was only 2 to 3 inches down in rock hard ground standing straight up. Was sounding and reading like a dime. The 6 is clear when zoomed and can barely make out a 2 no sign of the 1 or 9.Congratulations on your bucket Lister, how deep down was it?
Seems like 90% of these SLQ you can't read the date.
I use an app that uses AI to identify and value coins. I didn’t know about the 3 stars thanks for the info.I think so too now .. the 1916 did not have the three stars below the eagle on the back… still a great find though!!
Oh man… how that hurt!!!Congratulations on your first SLQ!! They are hard to find for sure. Ask Fwcrawford to show you the one he found what a horrible tragedy that coin was
Heck yeah, of the list! She’s pretty worn out but I finally landed one.
Now we need that storyOh man… how that hurt!!!
The three stars means it a Type ll. Type l (no stars on the back ) 1916 and some of 1917 had a bare breasted Lady Liberty but too many complained so they put the chain mail across her chest. Either way great save and congrats on the find. MarkI use an app that uses AI to identify and value coins. I didn’t know about the 3 stars thanks for the info.

I was using the nokta triple score, I was out on state land along a river that was heavily logged around turn of the century and replanted in the 30’s.Oh man… how that hurt!!!
