How to learn the Deus II ....

Pretty much how I run mine with good results. I'm still using 0.71

I have put much thought into making the learning curve easier. Tones are probably the number one on that list....
I've watched a lot of your videos since I got the Deus2 and I've picked up some pointers. Going on 3 years now. I'm using some of your settings and a few of my own. It works for me at all my sites. Pitch tone is my preference and I like it. 👍 I've found some very deep bullets up here in Hanover, Cold Harbor, Varina. ID's very well at depth in pitch tone. Good luck hunting.

There are many suggestions out there on how to learn the Deus II... After years of using it this is the best way I know to learn it.
It’s good to see your back at it, been awhile. I remember you saying this machine is a game changer back then. I finally bought one with 11 inch coil. Great wireless tech, great ability to make adjustments. I’ll watch your video later today.

Very informative video! I appreciate you doing this for us new users. I was debating on getting rid of it but I am not giving up on learning the Deus 2 .

Don't get rid of it. It's a great detector once you get the hang of it. Good luck hunting.

Hello my brother, video is excellent.. started out early spring learning to many programs ...at least trying ' ended up in General ' 3 tone little adjustments,,, 4 gold rings 5 Ag . Rings ECT.,. Now trying fresh water beach/ wading) some beaches here in Oh. Are not the greatest!! If ya' can actually call em' beaches. Any tips?? With fr, water..

Hello Mr. C , appreciate passing on info's .. when using 40 , doesn't get deep enough in few locations (lakes) I hunt count of layers of hard clay just beneath the sand. It's not like hunting on deep ocean sand.. so much tiny pcs. Ironat that.. just looking for a happy medium.. thanks brother...⛏️

Where I live the rings and coins do not sink below the hard clay. If I am hunting in that environment I use 40kh because I am looking for gold rings etc .40kh is the deepest on mid to low conductive targets....If your looking for coins that might be another story...if not heavy iron lower the reactivity to .05 to 1.5 to gain extra depth.

Thanks for the info Calabash. I relied heavily on your videos when I bought my D2 1 1/2 years ago. I live just north of you in NC, so my settings are real close to yours. My knowledge of the machine is ever evolving. I can't emphasize enough to people to use these basic settings Calabash has shared and work from there. Bury some targets where you hunt, tweak your settings and always be open to trying new things to optimize your hunts. I like the D2 better and better the more I use it!

I’m way behind on the learning curve. I need to push the reset button and start learning and not just going to the 2-3 preset programs, with virtually no setting changes. There’s so much more available with the Deus2. I never updated so using v .71
