End of August and Still no Vortex!!! I really don't care though.
In my Opinion Garrett Fumbled big time. Don't see Garrett having a Future in Metal Detectors soon. They haven't Created a Detector since the Apex if my mind serves me right. Garrett was in the Game for years but now I wouldn't spend a penny on a
Garrett detector these days. So much better out there. Not trying to Ruffle feathers but my honest opinion of Garrett. The AT Pro was a Winner for them I believe but not really a great detector.
How.long have we been hearing about the Vortex??? Why even mention the Vortex when you can't even get it to Market for
Sales Garrett??? I own some very nice Condition Garrett's
(Gold Scorpion, Talking Master Hunter Cx111 w/power circuitry,
GTI 1500, Garrett Dual Discriminator Detector). All capable of finding some goods but can't Compare with what's out there these days... JMHO of Garrett these days

They did release the Axiom a little less than 2 years ago. Very capable machine from what I understand, but I'm not a gold field hunter. I suspect that the Vortex is more capable than most people are expecting. We'll find out one way or another soon enough. I for one have ordered one.

YEP, lots of guys feel like you, problems ,problems :thumbdown:.Well ,at 83 I found a pristine AT-PRO from the east coast and that's all I need. The owner was 86 and used it one time. Looks like it had the kellyco sticker still on it.What a break on this detector!

How can you release a machine when it"s now where from being finished . Oh just make it update able :rage: sube

Some of us had to take the first ride LOL so I guess I will be one of the Guinea pigs LOL when The Vortex gets in my hands

Which may or may not be a good thing, I just hope when I do receive my VX9 I don't have to start updating crap rite out of the Gate like another manufacture's machine, hopefully the wait is because Garrett went back and looked at other Manufacture's detectors from the past 3-5 years and decided to put out a detector that was actually somewhat finished and performing as it should, THAT IS MY Hopes if so I do not mind the wait at all

The Axiom is a very capable PI and probably the most ergonomically comfortable detector I have ever used, the only thing I do not like about the Axiom is those stupid blunt nosed coils that Garrett produced for the Axiom
