Nice Eagle general service Button, a couple flat buttons and 2 toe taps. The open fretwork lid is interesting. The ball I thought was a clay marble turned out to be a Dung beetle {no insects were harmed during this hunt}

You fancy lid might be from a sugar caster. Not sure when granular super became available.
