I got out again today to hunt with my long time hunting buddy. I garnered permission at a house that kinda had special meaning to me. It was built in 1875.
When my folks moved to Ohio from Kentucky back in 50s they rented the second floor of this home.
Now I remember as a child going there a couple times.
My first visit there the owner who lived on the first floor told me about the house supposedly being haunted.
She showed me a picture of the stairway leading to the attic of what she said was a ghost.
After that I dreaded going there as it scared the sheeeet outta me a a lil kid.
Anyhow, I had asked for years to hunt it and always was told no. But, a year ago it sold and the new owner granted us permission today.
Granted I didn’t find anything spectacular but, there were coins everywhere. I ended my day there with a bunch of clad, a key the usual junk and 5 wheaties the oldest 1919.
When I dropped of my buddy at his home I was wiping of the quarters and lo and behold 1 wasn’t a quarter.
Turned out to be a 1939 Workds Fair NY token sponsored by Kendall Oil.
I had the best time just roaming around a place my folks lived in 70 years ago.
The owner granted us permission to come back anytime and I can’t wait.
My buddy found a bunch of coins as well.
Happy Hunting All
