WSA 2 xl problems

I have been using the deus 2 just with the remote and have no problem with sound. I have just received a new WSA 2 xl and can only hear a squeak of a signal only periodically. I've gone through the setting and upped the volume but can't hear much of anything through the headphones. Any help much appreciated because I'm at the beach for a few days of detecting the sand.

I think you will need to turn UP the audio output in the specialized “Audio” menu which is different than the normal volume control. In the Audio section you can adjust primary outputs for the wired, wireless, bone conduction and RC speaker. Also of course make certain your coil being used is paired correctly.

Are the headphones running the same version as the Deus 2?

I'm finding plenty of targets just not anything valuable. I see the value of headphones phones and I wish I could get them to work.

I'm not sure. I don't have access to a computer this week. Does it take a computer to see the version of software?
No computer needed to see the version you're running. It will take a computer to update the headphones though, using the single lead. I think they're shipped with the current update. Mine was. I'm currently running the 0.71 on the Deus2 and had to revert the headphones back to that version. Check the version you're running when turning on the remote. It should be in the lower left corner at startup. Good luck and let us know.
