FISHER CZ-7A SCREEN is blank

Spoon

New member
Does anybody know where I can source a view screen for a Fisher cz-7a or purchase a 7a detector? A bit over a year ago i sustained a fractured T12 vertebra in a car wreck. I recently decided to see if I could go detecting again and found that the view screen on my machine displays nothing. The detector seems to be working fine, but with the screen dead I can't determine any of its settings. Thanks for any suggestions.

Spoon, did you use all the same batterys in the holders? Mine did the same and i had some bad batterys in one holder. I havev a nice CZ 7a, not pro, It hunts better than most detectors i have used. I have had Fisher, Whites, MineLab, . Try a new set of batterys , they last a long time.

Thanks for the reply. I removed the batteries in the detector when I was no longer able to use it. When I brought it back out, I put in fresh alkaline Duracell's. I suppose there could have been factory defects so I will get some more and try again. They all test good.

First Texas (Fisher) probably won’t touch it . The digital Czs serving was stopped before the analogs. some Cz3Ds parts could be used for Cz5 and 6’s. My Cz5 meter quit , and Fisher only had Cz3D meters , so that’s what it got. It’s worth the call to fisher as they may be able to connect you to someone who can service it. good luck !!! I no longer have a Cz5 or any cz now. They are excellent deep coiners !!!!
