tesoro eldorado threshold pod question

Hi there, can anyone tell me where I can source the threshold pod / assembly for a Umax / micromax Tesoro Eldorado?
Bought one with a frozen threshold knob, since a previous owner thought it was a good idea to glue it so it will not move any more..
😅

The pot should be 100K, it will be indicated on the pot.
You can find the Alpha brand pots at most electronics parts stores.
They are inexpensive. Or go to Amazon and enter this into the search bar for a killer deal

Hi Sven, thanks a bunch for your input, this is realy helpful!

Based on what i found online this might be a direct replacement;

Just not sure if the 001 in 3310C-001-104 Has any importance, as i can not find this specific number on the original?

If i were to undertake this repair, is it a matter of removing the battery out of the control box, take off the messed up piece and soldering on the new one? Nothing that needs to recalibrated afterwards? Anything else I need to be mindful of ? Asking since I can solder but I am not an electrical engineer. :unsure:

Those are just your basic trimpots. They do wear out. they are not really meant to be adjusted much. They just put it in the umax housing as space in certain umax models is limited near the box top.
I prefer to use the mini Alpha pots, they are smaller in diameter than the Alpha's Tesoro use.

The number on the trimpots indicates the resistance value of the pot. You have a 104 which indicates that it is 100K

Simple replacement, remove battery, un solder the wires off the trimpot and resolder them back in place on the new pot. Make sure the wires get soldered to the right pins.
White wire to center #2 pin. Red to #1. Black to #3. The threshold should increase when turning the pot clockwise, if the switch the red and black wires.
Nothing else you have to do, re-assemble and go hunting.
