River finds from today...

I tried river detecting today since it is getting hot and supposed to be even hotter by the end of the week.
The water is still a little higher than I prefer and still has a good current making for some tiring detecting, but I am happy with my results.
It is definitely a different ball game than lake detecting and some targets take a while to recover from the bottom.
Some things I actually had to put on my mask and snorkel to recover in the deeper areas.
One thing that surprised me was the lack of modern trash, but it is still early and I may most likely see more on future trips.
Thanks for looking!

Nice hunt Felix!! You can use that lead to weigh you down when diving for targets 🤭

Felix, the water should open up all new areas for you. One way to beat the heat!

It is a little harder but can be ultra productive stick to it your finding lead gold should be in the same area.

My thoughts exactly… I went trout fishing early this morning and just wet waded.
By lunch time it was almost 90 degrees out, but I had my limit by then.
That river felt much better.

An ice cold beer 🍺 would feel much better 🤭😂😂

Problem with the river near me is that the bottom is all rocks of all sizes.. A real crapper to get a scoop under them. Guess I will have to go to the mask and dig them out by hand.

Same here… a scoop is useless, but that is where you want to detect at from what I have seen from others that detect in rivers.
I use a prospecting pick to recover targets... it work great!!
