Nox 900 update available

Guys & gals there is a new software update for the Equinox 900 for any of you interested.

I wish I had a way to update, but then again I'm scared to attempt it. Lol I'm not to computer savvy.

Thanks.

I'm not sure. I have no computer to update so I haven't looked yet. I hope it is something good.
  1. EQUINOX 700 | 900 Software Upgrade

EQUINOX 700 | 900 SOFTWARE UPGRADE

Minelab is pleased to introduce a software upgrade for the EQUINOX 700 and 900 with new features to enhance your detecting experience.

WHAT IS NEW?

  1. Enhanced Target Separation Performance: Enjoy enhanced target separation with a new Iron Bias ‘-1’ setting. This pushes target unmasking to new levels, giving users an aggressive target separation option for hunted out iron infested sites.
  2. Continuous Auto Noise Cancel: Pressing and holding the Accept/Reject button with Noise Cancel selected in the Settings Menu will continuously run Noise Cancel until the button is released. Running Noise Cancel over a longer period improves the measurement of noise on each channel and can capture noise sources that vary with time, giving the user the best possible noise rejection in challenging EMI environments.
  3. General Stability Enhancements: Small changes addressing infrequent use cases.

Found it!

Thanks. I appreciate it. Have any of you had a chance to download the update & run your detector a bit? I'm curious also how it performs now.

Thanks.

I just made a thread concerning this, my 900 powered down half way through the update, now it will power on but screen is blank and no sound, followed alll recovery instructions and nothing works. I just got this unit used today and it was working fine before i attempted the update. im totally lost as to what to do other than wait for monday to contact support. ive tried a dozen time following their instructions and nothing works.

Anyone else download the update and try it? It's a bit steamy here and my old butt don't like hot weather..especially when there's a chance of thunderstorms!
I seen that Mental Metal ran it thru its paces. He said he liked it & believed it to be a good update.

He said it seemed to tighten the TDI#'s up & help with iron separation.

I put a few hours on it today.. I got a couple of clad coins,a 64 rosey, and a 1942 Canadian dime with a hole punched in it. Also got a cool military cuff button and a flattened old sterling ring. I also dug some junk nails. This was the site of an old school where I have found silver for over 40 years. The weather was miserable at 88* plus about 80% humidity. I'm gettin too old for this ****! I did have a problem using Field 2. The machine was chattering like an electronic machine gun. Park 1 worked great! I come home and did a factory preset and did a noise cancel then field 2 seemed to be ok. I will do more testing when it cools down a bit.

Went back out today. Drove 15 miles one way and my ML 85 headphones wouldn't pair up..We did find the cord so I ran it like that for a couple of hours. We went to a lot of an old 1900 church that has been hunted hard. I ran in Park 1,sensitivity 26,iron bias at 4 and recovery at 4. I usually run iron bias at 2 but there were bits of iron and lots of nails giving me problems. I was rewarded with two green wheats ,a 43 merc dime and a 52 rosey. That's four silver coins in two days from hunted out sites. The machine was fairly stable today and I am looking forward to the next outing! Ted :detecting:

Awesome deal. Glad it's working out. What coil have you been swinging with them settings?

Thanks with the follow up. This is the type of success I like to hear.

Thanks! I am using the factory 11" coil as I hunt a lot of large areas. I have a 6" coil on my 600 that I use around trees and next to sidewalks.
Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah I wish somebody would make a 8"x11" elliptical coil for the Equinox 900.

That or a 9" round would work for me 6" is ok but id rather have something
bigger than that and smaller than an 11"
Yeah I wish the coiltek 14x9 coil was not a weighted coil for water hunting. I wish they would make a non-weighted model for land hunting.
